Alex Box Illamasqua Body Electrics

Ende Januar konnten Koko und ich Alex Box in London treffen. Mit ihrem ganz besonderen, künstlerischen Stil gehört sie seit vielen Jahren zu den einflussreichsten Make-up Artists der Beauty- und Mode-Branche und ist zudem einer der kreative Köpfe hinter dem britischen Label Illamasqua.

In diesem Ausschnitt des insgesamt rund 30-minütigen Interviews, das ich mit Alex geführt habe, erzählt sie ein wenig von der mit Spannung erwarteten Sommer/Winter-Kollektion, die den Namen Body Electrics tragen wird und auf was wir Kosmetikbegeisterte uns in der nahen Zukunft von Illamasqua freuen können.

At the end of January, Koko and I had the pleasure to meet Alex Box in London. Being a well respected make-up artist, Alex has been working in the beauty and fashion industry for years as well as being one of the artistic directors of the British make-up brand Illamasqua.

Get the Shade: MAC e/s Hypnotizing

It probably happens to all make-up enthusiasts once at least. You've fallen in love with a limited shade from your favourite cosmetics brand and before you've had the chance to get your hands on it, it is sold out and gone. One of the most sought-after shades on the market from the last beauty season must have been Hypnotizing eye shadow, a frosted grey mauve by M.A.C. from their December 2009 Love Lace collection.

Sadeer, one of the make-up artists at my local M.A.C. Store in Duesseldorf, Germany, shared his recipe with me how to create a quite similar shade using three different eye shadows from the permanent range.

I would have loved to try this on my own but unfortunately I am missing Shale e/s at the moment, so maybe you could help me out. Have you tried to layer these three colours and compared the result to the original Hypnotizing, by any chance?
